Population growth: coincides with industrial revolution, modern medicine is what is fueling the growth. Immortality rates are decreasing: agriculture is allowing us to produce more food. The more people there are, the more people there can be. Exponential growth you won"t know that there"s too much until we are so close: bacteria in a test tube (half full at 59 seconds but full at 60 seconds) The earth has been around for 4. 6 billion years. Agricultural revolution had a very important impact on our society and really allowed us to flourish. Environmental issues cannot be separated from the global economy.
