Entertainment has become like a drug, we need it in order to survive. We lose our passion to engage in critical content. Fear of the political implications (controlled by a higher power aka the state) Forms of ent. to gain political power. Free food and staging huge entertainment events. Many critics direct this to the rise of pop culture. Entertainment: the action of providing/being provided amusement of enjoyment. If it doesn"t draw our attention we wont pay for it. To an event, performance or activity designed to entertain others. Sell our eyeballs to other entertainment outlets. With no attention economy there would be no entertainment. Advertisements of fb and apps are usually tailored to you specifically. Commodity: something that can be bought or sold.
