Begins with someone of something that comes down and becomes the first person: cherokee diver- water beetle down to earth, it picks up mud then piles it in places: thus grand. Father buzzard comes down and sees the mud is solid/safe. Every time he flaps up= mountains are made. As they flap down= valleys are made: hoopa creation story, yuma spirit knows people are coming and teaches them how to live properly. Key element- being has to teach people the right way to live on earth.
