776 bc- arachiac period leads into classical period. Ends with the death of alexander the great. Was a macedonian but we recognize him as a greek. Aristotle tutored alexander the great up until he became a general in his father"s (king philip) army. Aristotle was known as the man who knew everything. As the first person to discover this, he was the one that knew it all. Conquered a lot of the world known to the greeks. Alexander"s father died and so he made the free state"s part of their throne. Said they didn"t want to submit to mastedon. Alexander was successful in making the other states submit, except sparta. Before he died, he expanded his empire through persia, by utilizing indian border. He takes all the land on this route. This was interesting because they are essentially spreading greek culture through that region and learning from local customs. This expansion had 3 effects on the region.
