Document Summary

Speed is how far an object will go in a certain amount of time (50km/h) Velocity is both speed and direction (50 km/h downwards) Acceleration change of velocity in a time interval (car slows down, speeds up its still accelerating. ) (another example: if a car increases speed from 50km/h to 60km/h it"s accelerating 10km/h faster) Momentum cannot change on its own, you need force to change momentum. Changes because of a net force. (as moon orbits earth it"s constantly changing direction of its motion = changing velocity, which is cause by the force of earth"s gravity. *net force is result of summing all separate forces affecting an object (i. e. : sun"s gravity, earth"s gravity, jupiter"s gravity, etc. ) Mass amount of matter your body takes up. It"s because they"re in freefall which causes them to orbit, just like when you"re in an elevator and the cord snaps.
