Document Summary

How we ought to think of our own deaths. The essential nature of properties (justice, beauty, goodness) It is pointless to fear something you don"t know anything about. The soul is different from and separable from. Can be reborn into a new body. Everything generates from its opposite (life comes from death) The original source of information for knowledge is experience. Knowledge comes from sensation of things outside of us or from our own thoughts and feelings. Reality is made up of matter and void. There are atoms that are not further divisible. The gods do not control the universe. They are simply beings that show the ideal life for a human. There is no such thing as an immortal soul. Soul is bound to body and cannot exist separately. If the soul gets sick the body gets sick. The time before life/birth was nothing to us so why would we care about what is after life (death)
