Envs 2270 impact of climate change midterm review. : the difference between climate and weather o o o o o. They are describing similar things but weather is what is happening now and climate is an average. Climate is what you expect; weather is what you get . The classical period is 30 years, as defined by the world. Most often surface variables such as temperature, precipitation and wind: climate is usually shown on a koppen geiger climate classification map. Climate influences what type of plants are growing in certain areas. E: polar and alpine: climate varies naturally (within limits, occasional extreme weather does not prove that the climate is changing. You can"t look at individual events but you can look at trends. If you look at the past 100 years and see that the number of drought days has increased that you can say something is going on here.
