In the reading, the name don juan is a symbol or is initially sexuality. He enjoys seducing women that he sees, and he enjoys the art of seduction itself. Juan exists and lives to satisfy women as well as embodies into a form of sensuality. Kierkegaard also mentions and states that sensuous lovers aren"t immortal, and the image of. Don juan is just a misunderstood picture of love, in addition, these lovers lack consciousness to be deceitful, and don juan"s are not intended to be that way. These don juan"s also crave the satisfaction of love and as soon as he gets that love he would leave that satisfaction and find another specimen to satisfy these desires. Kierkegaard brings up the example of hercules who slept with countless women, and he never experienced sensuous love.
