Our strategies for survival are not altered by cultural influence, different though they may be around the world. The cultural influence theory seems mainly associated with white. Western cultures: darwin, (1819-1882) the founder of modern theory though not the originator of evolutionary speculations, he attempts to give a thorough account of humans as animals. Others had been exploring evolutionary theory: natural selection is original to darwin. From malthus, we learn populations expand faster than supplies (think here of adam smith), so people are generally going to live miserable lives. Biological populations will have diverse inherited characteristics. They will over produce and there will be competition for resources. Some inherited traits will be more conducive to survival than others. He thinks luck, being in the right circumstances with the right talent plays a huge role in the survival game: sexual selection is a process that is independent of natural selection. Traits are chosen independently of whether they confer habitat advantage.
