This creates dominant and subordinate groups in society the haves and have nots . Resulting in the subjugation of one group. Social construction of reality : states that the way we present ourselves in any given situation is shaped by the interactions of all our past relations and the social interactions that we have with others. Each person"s view is shaped by their own history and values, beliefs, and life. Stereotypes defined: a label that may have some basis in fact, but that has been grossly overgeneralized and applied to a particular segment of the population or situation. We don"t create stereotypes from thin area, it is created from what we see and what we experience.
