A group that commonly faces discrimination is the LGBTQ people. The discrimination
and stigmatization that they face negatively impacts their health because it prevents them

During my experience at different placements, I have noticed a few health care
professionals that do not treat people from the LGBTQ community in the same way that
they would treat a patient that follows the society’s norms.
After speaking to a few patients, they told me that they are often reluctant to seek aid
from health care professionals because of the way they are treated and looked down
upon. This is quite frustrating as a nursing student who simply wants to provide quality
care to all patients regardless of their age, colour, gender, etc. It is, however, important to
note that there are some health care professionals who do provide quality care. With the
generational standards changing, people are more accepting and respect decisions made.
There are several different perspectives that can be taken when trying to determine if
health-related research or data should be used if taken unethically or by human rights
violation. There is the idea that we are able to use any information that we can obtain. For
