Questions:
1. United States Population Density: Briefly define population density (in your own words).
In general population density is referring to the number of geographical phenomena that
are prevalent in a specific area.
We measure this in units,
e.g. you could say there are 5 trees per square meter.
2. United States Population Density: Given the definition you provided above, what are the
maps that you produced actually showing? In a couple of sentences, explain what these
maps mean.
The maps that I have created are showing the amount of people in each of the states in
America. It provides us with a visual way of comparing population between each of the states
and allows us to determine which states are more populated then others. Just by simply looking
at the first map we are able to see that the East part of America is more populated because of the
darker shaded dots in places such as Boston, New York and Washington.
