Is this part of the c compiler? most of the midterm is being able to use the tools that we"ve learned. Be able to operate a linux computer; move files around, change permissions, know what built-in filters do, know what it means to interact with the file system and processes etc. Be able to write bash shell scripts (like in the assignment or in class), be able to write c programs and understand the basics of a. C program, how a running c program interacts with an operating system, the language features up to. The coding questions won"t be different from the assignment and example questions !!! 1960s: multics, people were programming with binary punch cards. Programs consisted of basic math, basic games, basic data. The first problem was how to make multiple programs run at the same time. Another big problem was that there was no higher level abstraction that let codes run on different platforms.
