Document Summary

Even if the train was traveling at the speed of light and you beamed a beam of light out of the train, it does not move at twice the speed, it moves at the same onstant speed of light. Everything can gain and lose velocity but light cant do that. Only things that have no mass can move at the speed of light. Basic idea: velocity is made up of tim and distance. Time ilation moving clocks move at different times. How you experience time depends on how fast youre moving. As far as youre concerned youer moving at the same rate, but you are moving slower relative to someone else. In order for velocity measures to agree with light, the things that velocity is made up of like time and space have to change. So if the distance gets longer than time is also going to get longer. This is the time measured for some event to happen.
