Women more than men: social stigma, women are more likely to seek therapy and admit to it. Education level: people with higher education levels are more likely to seek treatment. Psychologists have a phd and registered with the cpa but in some provinces are okay with. Clinical psychologists: focus more on diagnosed disorders, more serious disorders. Counselling psychologists: will work with people with stress, more common and everyday disorders, family and drug issues. Psychiatrists: will work with the more serious disorders such as schizophrenia and have a medical degree and are doctors, are able to prescribe medication. Clinical social workers: masters degree and therapeutic services. Psychiatric nurses: hospital treatment and hold a bachelors or masters degree.
