The aim of this portfolio is to develop an understanding of the key theories addressed in this unit which will be done using reflective application and social awareness. The emphasis for the portfolio is to develop the attributes identified as most important by australian business leaders which include continuous professional development and communication skills. Intrapersonal effectiveness is explained as understanding yourself (and your goals, strengths, weaknesses, style and biases) and improving self-management skills, such as time management and stress management. " (de janasz, wood, gottschlk, dowd & schneider, 2006, p. 3). The aim of this portfolio is to critically examine and reflect on intrapersonal effectiveness. This can be supported by theory of personality and performance - the big five and measured using the neo. The neo ipip model (costa & mccrae, 1992) is a measure of the big five personality traits which include neuroticism, extraversion, openness, agreeableness and conscientiousness (goldberg, 1990).
