Document Summary

The model answers are actual answers of students from the exam that received a high distinction mark. The chief examiner has chosen one model answer for each part of the exam. That is, the model answer is not they reproduction of one individual"s hd answer; but rather a combination of exams. This has allowed the reproduction of a hd quality answer for every question that was asked on the exam. The examiners comments briefly indicate what was expected in each question and the main weaknesses in answering each question. Examiner"s comments: there were two main weaknesses with part a overall. First, students generally did not answer the question being asked; rather, students would reproduce all that they knew on an identified area without answering the question asked. Secondly, students often addressed one part of a questions/quote in detail and failed to address other parts.
