In the 1200s and 1300s most knowledge centers (e.g. cities) were located in Italy. By the 1500s however, large cities had also formed in Northern Europe. Research and describe the various movements of scholars through the various trade routes that allowed ideas to flow to Northern Europe. Consider the role that geography might have played in influencing these movements.
