  5. Convenience sampling - It is a non-probability sampling. It is the method in which samples are collected from easily available sources. 

 

In the given question, the researcher divides the test subjects into twelve groups and then selects four groups randomly. So, here the population is divided into 12 groups that is 12 clusters and from those 12 groups, 4 groups are randomly selected. Thus, the sampling method in this question is representing cluster sampling.

So, cluster sampling was used as method of sampling for drawing the sample.
