I really do not understand the difference between dispersal and gene flow. The word dispersal is not even in my text book.

This was my definition of gene flow: a. Gene flow is when new alleles enter or leave a population that may create a change in the allele frequencies in the population. The new alleles that are entering the population will usually come from another population, and/or populations will be trading alleles with each other.
