An object and a converging lens are used to create an image at some location. There are two possible cases,
Case 1 the object is outside the focal length of the lens; Case 2 the object is between the lens and its focal point
case 1: if you place a screen at the image location at predicted by the thin lens equation, what would you expect to see on the screen? Explain using ray diagrams. If you replaced the screen with your eye looking towards the lens, would you be able to see a sharp focused image? Explain.
