I have a flat refracting surfaces equation and although I have theequation I feel that I'm still missing information and/or theequation I have is not correct..

The questions is: An object of length 3.00 cm is inside a plasticblock with index of refraction 1.40. If the object is viewed fromdirectly above, what is the length of its image?
q = (-n2/n1)(p)

I have that the correct answer is 3.00 cm but I don't understandhow to get that answer.
