This is the problem. A stone isthrown upwards from the edge of acliff 18 m high. It just missesthe cliff on the way down and hitsthe ground below with a speed of18.8 m/s. With what velocity was itreleased? What is its maximumdistance from the ground during itsflight? Im notsure if the question is asking me to find thevelocity or speed inthe first question. I started off using one ofthe kinematicsequations, but I got stuck when trying to solve fort2. Also, Im not sure how to solve for the maximum distance.
