Two students are on a balcony a distance h above the street. onestudent throws a ball vertically downward at a speed vi; at thesame time, the other student throws a ball vertically upward at thesame speed. Answer in terms of vi, g,h, t. a) what is the timeinterval between when the first ball strikes the ground and thesecond ball strikes the ground. b) find the velocity of each ballas it strikes the ground. c) how far apart are the balls at a timet after they are thrown and before they strike the ground.

Is it safe to assume the speed doesn't increase or decrease afterbeing thrown? So really all I'm doing is taking in account thedistance traveled since the ball thrown up has twice the distanceto travel than the ball thrown down. Would distance alter thevelocity when each ball hits the ground? Thanks for your help, it'sdifficult to predict the pictures and what the balls are doing
