A 2 kg block is released from rest on an inclined ramp 1 m from thebase of the ramp. The angle of the incline is 60° and the ramp ismounted on the floor. The block slides down the ramp and thenacross a horizontal floor, coming to a stop a distance Ds from thebase of the ramp. The coefficient of kinetic friction between theblock and the ramp is mk = 0.51 and the coefficient of kineticfriction between the block and the floor is also mk = 0.51. What isthe value of Ds (in meters)? (You can pretend that the block cantransition from moving on the ramp to moving on the floor withoutslowing down or rolling over).
