A 1.20-cm-tall object is 50.0 cm to the left of a converginglens (lens A) of focal length 40.0 cm. A second diverging lens(lens B) with focal length magnitude of 60.0 cm is located 300.0 cmto the right of the first lens along the same optic axis. The tickmarks are 25 cm apart.

(a) Find the location and height of the image formed by lens A,and sketch it on the diagram using principal rays.

(b)Find the location and height of the image produced by lens B,and sketch it on the diagram using principal rays.

(c)For each lens, state whether each image is real orvirtual, and whether each is erect orinverted.

(d)Compute the overall magnification of the two-lens system.(Figure below not drawn to scale.)
