In this experiment, you will conduct two different chemicalreactions (see below). Some of the moles of HCL you add will reactwith sodium carbonate in the first reaction and the rest will reactwith sodium hydroxide in the the second reaction.

i. Na2CO3 (aq) + 2HCL (aq) --> 2 NaCl (aq) + CO2 (g) + H2O(l)

ii. HCL (aq) + NaOH (aq) --> NaCl (aq) + H2O (l)

If you use 0.502 mol HCL (total) and 0.252 mol NaOH in thisexperiment, answer the following:

a.) How many moles of the HCL react with NaOH?

b.) How many moles of the HCL react with Na2CO3?

c.) How many moles of Na2CO3 react with the HCL?
