Write a short narrative that is based on a misunderstanding, describing the scene in a way that brings out the humor or larger meaning in the situation. (Your story can be more like vaudeville--simply for laughs, or it can send a more thoughtful message.) Here are some possible sources of ideas:
1. Describe something that happened to you or someone you know that was caused by a misunderstanding (or led to one).
2. Describe what happens when one character misunderstands another character's use of a word with multiple meanings. (Feel free to use one of the words in the list above.)
