I need to write a research paper in CS351.

Select a visual text – a film, an episode from a television series, a music video, an advertisement, a photograph, a painting, etc. – to analyze along some of the theoretical lines.

I just need a guideline as to what exactly is meant by theoratical lines and examples of the theories.
