Discuss sites, facilities and systems that are responsive to relevant codes and regulation and include the principles of life safety and accessibility standards in relation to: space planning, specifications, quantity surveying and cost estimates, building permits, space planning. Space planning refers to the utilization of the space and on how it is being laid out and planned in order for the efficient use of the spaces. Thus, it is an essential part of the interior design process. Certain sites and facilities require a proper space planning to become more efficient and avoid hazards. Among others, the building, itself, should have a proper plan with regard to the space utilization. The space planning will base mainly on the available space, as well as the number and demands of the occupants. That would determine the necessary rooms and areas that should be considered in planning.
