Intelligence influences beliefs and practices - highly intelligent people tend to use holistic healthcare as part of their model. Perceptions, emotions, and spiritual beliefs influence beliefs and practices. Risk factors and changing behaviors can be difficult depending on the influences out there. Phn is population and policy; community-based nursing is access to resources and hands-on care. Some things we"ll talk about are of population health - hence cdc and who website links: we consider service goals and requirements in practice to prevent, protect, and promote health. That"s what public health nursing is: we look at barriers in seeking services, such as policy, cost of services, access to services. In public health nursing, we see risk factors as habits, genetics, age, environment, lifestyle, and stress - family and community influence it, socioeconomic influence it. Look at indicators in public health nursing - whats going on - whats the community health profile - whats the sociodemographic characteristics, including income.
