Our world has become borderless thanks to the destruction of the nation state, and now our political and cultural ties are always in motion. Our past has always shaped us, but especially does so now with independence movements taking place all around the world; we must decide who what we believe in and who we identify with. As we see damage being done to capitalism, the environment, and class equality, we are looking for an alternative to the westphalian system. Our current economic system either must stay strong in its current state or develop to better display the effects of globalization. The twenty-first century as god"s century, toft, philpott, shah. In the eighteenth century, it looked as if religion was on the decline, but today, it is a global influence in many areas of life. Religion on a global scale and its effects on our lives is still being explored, but its power is undeniable.
