Marital issues: just because a couple has been together their whole life does not mean they have a healthy and happy relationship. Re-balancing the boundary between work and family when both partners retire. Work creates time for couples to be apart from one another. When you retire, you have way more time to be together ordinary difficulty, not always good but not bad. One myth is that once you retire you will spend more time together, couples still want the same amount of separateness and connectedness. Desire to be separate from partner is an insult to him/her because you don"t want to spend more time with them. Another myth is that men/husbands will be more involved in family life and taking care of the households, housework patterns stay the same after retirement. Coping with the physical changes of aging behavioral slowing.
