Authoritative: warm and responding boundaries with rules; but talk about it with you. Identity achievement: have gone through crisis period and committed to an occupation. Identity diffusion: lack commitment; haven"t decided upon occupation. Identity moratorium: still in crisis; attempting some compromise among parental wishes. Identity foreclosure: made a commitment without experiencing a crisis becoming what others have intended for them. Instinct: unlearned complex behavior patterned throughout a species. Drive reception theory: physiological need creates an aroused tension state. Need: deprivation that creates a drive (need for food, water) Drive: aroused state due to psychological need (hunger, thirst)
