Genetic disorder when there is any mutation to a protein structure and cytoplasm that protein is cftr (cystic brosis transmembrane regulator) Normal patholgic function of cftr is to control excretion of chloride ion from cell into lumen of organs. In pathologic tradition, when there is any mutation to cftr it cannot control excretion of chloride (cl-) which leads to excretion of cl- into different organs lumen. Intestines: severe diarrhea, dehydration, maldigestion of nutrients, de ciency of vitamins, anemia, iron de ciency. * if formation of mucus occurs is spermatic chord (patient has erectile disfunction, abstraction of vas deferen, infertility) * there is no treatment for cystic brosis * Edema - accumulation of uid in cell. Destruction of capillary or blood vessels could be infection, could be congenital, could be malformation. Could be due to kidney problem/heart problem (hypertension) Any abstraction of lymphatic system, accumulates the uid and releases in veinous system.
