The scientific method is a tried and true method. I think about the scientific method whenever i do anything some people sleep with stuffed animals, i sleep with a scientific method print out. Together, with the eyes of science, let"s take a journey into the brain as we ask ourselves how does emotion affect memory consolidation in learning? . As someone who loves the science of learning, i decide to see how i can interweave emotion into it. Luckily, since i teach two lectures of the same size (n = 300), i can make one a control group and the other an experimental group. After teaching the scientific method in my lecture, i then show one group rush hour (dynamic, emotional), and the other a video of drying paint (neutral, boring). After the movie, i test them on the scientific method and calculate the average scores of each group.
