The response has increased due to the fact that the rat realized that it got food when he pressed the lever. Because the consequence increases, the behavior happens more frequently. A behavior is strengthened due to taking away something. Lever pressing becomes more frequent not due to increased food but due to less pain from electricity. Buckling the seatbelt is negative reinforced by terminating the buzzer. Feeding is negatively reinforced by the reduction of hunger. Because consequence goes away, the behavior happens more frequently. Parents take away use of car for 1 week.
