Need to buy stamps from government (tax essentially) If broke act, people would be tried in admiralty (military) court. Shows colonists don"t have a say and have to listen to parliament in london. Townshend act try to find different ways to raise revenue for crown by taxing and regulation. Quartering act have to provide a place to stay and eat for the british soldiers if they want too.
