Divided into lobe-each has same name as cranial bone above it. Coordinates and analyzes info coming from other lobes. Coordinates muscles of mouth, lips, tongue, pharynx, and larynx to produce speech. Analyzes sensory info about taste (and gustatory cortex) from taste receptors in tongue and throat: gustat/o- sense of taste.
