Con ict is a process that begins when one party perceives that another party has negatively affected, or is about to negatively affect, something that the rst party cares about. Con ict is natural and inevitable: organizations can have too much or too little. Con ict that supports the goals of the group and improves performance. Interpersonal - between two or more people. Intergroup - between two or more people. A moderate amount of con ict can be a healthy part of organizational life. A lack of con ict may be an indicator that individuals do not care abut their jobs/orgs or don"t feel comfortable bringing up differences. Task con ict can be good in early stages of decision making but can interfere with complex tasks in the long run. Encompasses this relatively stable feelings, thoughts, and behavioral patterns a person has. Understanding someone"s personality give us insight into how that person may act or feel.
