Embodied semantics: mirror neurons seem to solve this problem, need to know how to read the tms graph, data showed consistently with embodied semantics. Mn may not even exist in humans. Paralyzed people can still understand language (cannot move bodies) Motor activity only occurs in certain circumstances when you imagine doing the action: could just be a by-product of word processing. In the tms study: only get facilitation when performing the action, when pulse is after the word. Experiment: play a tone and afterwards release a puff of air to person"s eye making them blink, soon with that pair association created, if you play just the tone, people will blink. Process of learning new words is called neologism. Have contests to elect word of the year. Also is the oxford word of the year contest. Word learning involves induction (poverty of the stimulus) quine. Deduction conclusion must be true if the premises are true: example all men are mortal.
