Document Summary

If we have concentrations we work in kc. Cannot find concentration of the solid to put into equation. What if reagent is being ignored (solid, liquid) but its all used up in rxn and rxn stops but you wouldn"t know that from looking at k. not ignoring it. If you have a + b > c(s) + d. Do not set the solids to 0, set them to 1. Reactions are based on chemicals that are uniformly spread and solids are not like that. Cannot put it into kc equation b/c you cannot measure its concentration. Not included in ice table. put 1 if any of those are solid or liquid. Convert kc to kp if you have all gases. It would take too long to measure then if you did not use pressure by the time you"re done they gases would have changed. But instead you can just watch pressure change.
