Document Summary

All cells in the body prefer carbs as their primary energy sources except fat cells. When you have low blood sugar you can turn protein into glucose. Not enough protein you"ll use your own muscle. The only animal product that has significant amount of carbs = milk. Easier to digest : enzymes can come from all of the ends. Storage form of sugar is known as glycogen. We store sugar as the form of glycogen. Need a lot of water to break down carbs. Primary circulating carb in out blood that gives us energy is glucose. Normal blood glucose level is between 70 mil per deciliter of glucose - 99 mg/dl. Increase of glucose causes hormones to release from pancreas = insulin. Because cells must have insulin for glucose uptake. Glucose will stay in blood and never go into cell unless insulin present. Insulin is key to open the door to let sugar in.
