Another role for women is the mother (that binary) More about finding your voice, finding agency. Reinforced through the institution through which they live in. Women are not these things that limit your possibilities. Women are not be romanticized, constructed, etc. by the male gaze. Male gaze is a fantasy evolving out of their own imaginations. Experiences viewed after the fact so that"s what creates the ironic distance. One woman"s experience off of another woman"s experience. Strong feeling of defiance of what women are not.
