Historical efforts to describe personality- four humors these character types have to do with balances with bodily fluids. Believes that causes are dangerous when it relates to traits, the trait approach is prone to a logical error of confusing description with explanation ie. johnny is aggressive is simply a descriptive statement. Being diagnosed is not giving you an explanation of what it happening, simply putting a label on what is happening.
