Razran (some guy): tested 3 groups of students attitudes toward political slogans, razran gave them one of the 3 conditions, as they filled out the questionnaire about. Room that smells like shit: condition 3. Ie you generalized the actions of one person with other people of their race, class, etc: thorndike"s puzzle box, he starved cats, and he made them press a lever to leave the box and get food--- go. Operant conditioning over this: the more trials they did on the cat, the quicker the cat got out of the box. In this way the cat is a more active agent: the more trials the cat went through, the less errors were made, learning as trial and error process. Skinner: skinner empirical law, reward learning vs. aversive learning. However, neither group knew they learned how to turn off the static, they didn"t kno(cid:449) (cid:449)hich response they needed to do in order to turn off static.
