Our species has the highest amount of individuals with neotony. Period of dependency during which young vulnerable members are dependent on care givers. Parents invests enormous amount of energy in socializing the child. The central position of the learning perspective of personality is that personality is nothing more than an accumulation of all learnt tendencies that a person has acquired throughout the course of their experience. She is nothing more than the sum of her learned tendencies. Temporal contiguity: ns, ucs and repetition are necessary for this to work. Closer the stimulus to the unconditioned stimulus the higher the probability of getting that conditioned response. Those who were given a free lunch had more positive attitudes toward the political slogans. Choosing somebody for advertisement, would choose a more attractive female positive conditioning of emotion that they try to associate with product.
