Salivary gland- body has 3 parts (exocrine send info from a duct) The gland is like a piece of putty pushed into a cavity just in front of ear and has a fibrous capsule. Duct form the gland goes forward across the masseter muscle, pierces the check muscles and empties into the mouth. Submandibular gland- lies on the inside surface of mandible around the angle. Ducts opens into the florr of mouth around the frenulum of the tongue. Sublingual gland- lies on the lfloor of the mouth following the contour of the inside of the mandible.
