Odysseus has left a lot of members that could get revenge on him, for killing all of the suitors. End of book 22: odysseus has just ordered the slaves that were unfaithful to be killed, and now euryclia is cleansing with fumes. Everyone comes crowding in, because they miss odysseus. Hesitantly penelope comes down, because she doesn"t know what has happened yet: she sees odysseus standing bloody in the middle, and she says nothing for a little while. This bothers telemakhos because he wants his parents to hug and be together again: odysseus smiles, and tells telemakhos to be patient and let penelope test him. Odysseus has an idea for what to do for the families of the suitors: he says pretend its a wedding, and make sure that no one mourns the suitors. In book 8 we heard about how aphrodite, was cheating on hephaestus with helios.
