How we see our self as male/female and how we see sexual desire in the worldetc. Reinforces the binary in our culture in particular. Basic terms: the sperm is very aggressive, competitive, strong, a lot of them, active. Egg: do(cid:272)ile, passi(cid:448)e, does(cid:374)"t do a(cid:374)ythi(cid:374)g, (cid:374)e(cid:448)er aggressi(cid:448)e a(cid:374)d (cid:272)o(cid:373)petiti(cid:448)e. She wants people to be aware of negative connotations of the passivitiy of the egg. Stereotypical lang: egg gets swept up, it sheds itself, egg is rescued, egg is like the princess in the castle, prize, this idea of princess, you capture and catch. Sperm: produces things, active, strong, fast, depicted as being heroic, efficent Definitely a passive aggressive, one side is dominated and other is dominator. Proven that the sperm is weak, its not a biological truth these ideas.
